The sun had set a good while ago, Godric had spent the last few days in Houston. He had received an invitation from his youngest progeny Maci. Godric didn't get delighted about much, but he had to admit he was fairly happy to see her again. He had't seen her since she, him, and Eric all parted ways. He was glad to see that she had became a respected, and fair Sheriff. But it proved to be a busy night for Maci, it seemed like every two hours there was a new person coming to her with a new problem. She had left her house a few minutes ago, she had to go deal with something.
What it was, Godric didn't know. He tried not to listen to what she was taking care of, because then he offer her a suggestion of what he thought she should do, and because she was so loyal she would do what he said, and then she wouldn't learn how to be a better Sheriff. The seemingly young vampire made his way into the kitchen, he opened the refrigerator and looked in, a small smile came to his face as he saw all of the AB Negative True Bloods, if his memory was right that was her favorite blood type as well. He pulled out a bottle and placed it in the microwave and warmed it up, once it was done he took the lid off and walked over to the large window in the living and gazed out at the stars,as he took small sips of the True Blood.
Despite his efforts to stay out of politics, Zeke found himself doing a favor for his maker. She had been hesitant to send Zeke to do this considering he was still just under three months old. But she had confidence he could take a look into whatever it was she had yet to tell him about. but before he did anything he was under strict orders to check in with the local sheriff. Even if it was something small like this it was still the actions of another royal acting in another state. Or at least that is how it was explained to him. He'd been here two nights and so far all he knew was that he was to check in, and then wait for Akasha to call him.
He'd taken the time to hunt and feed before he began to find his way to the local sheriff's home. A very eager and all to willing male had filled Zeke's needs for the evening. Both physical and food. Though he didn't have to feed much. As the two girls from the night before had done nicely. He grinned at the thought that his lifestyle hadn't really changed. Even now Zeke didn't see commitment in his future. After all, now he did have eternity to think about everything.
The guards outside this sheriff's home had given him a time with questioning why he wish to speak with her. Even after he'd explained he was here on the business of another, that could not be explained, they continued. But they demeanor's toward him changed after he'd told them who he was and whose progeny he was. And he took mental note to remember that. Though he knew he wasn't going to be throwing that around every time he need to get in the door of a sheriff's home.
He was led inside and told that the sheriff would soon return from her work. After he was escorted in he was hit by a scent. Well two scents. One was faint, as if someone had just left the room. Whom he assumed was the sheriff who would soon be returning. But he knew that another vampire was here.
Godric was still standing staring at the stars, he always done this. Even in his home in Dallas. He liked the stars because even as he grew older and the world changed considerably, the stars didn't. These were still the same stars he'd gazed up at as a human. To find something like that was rare, and he knew it. He hadn't told anyone his love for the bright glowing masses in the sky.
Godric heard the door open and close, and then a scent of a vampire hit him. Upon finishing his Tru Blood he turned on his heels and went back into the kitchen to throw it away. He decided to see what other vampire had entered the house. He walked into the entrance room, that was decorated in a sandy tan color, it had a small leather love seat, along with two tan chairs. His eyes landed on the vampire the scent was coming from.
The boy looked young and Godric could tell he was a younger vampire. Maybe not even a year old, he seemed so young to Godric, but then again everyone seemed young to him because they were. He wasn't sure if the new vampire was aware of his presence yet, so he cleared his throat before talking. "Is there anything I can help you with?" He asked.
Zeke turned to look at who had spoken to him. He found the he was meeting the gaze of a very old vampire. And by the scent, older than that of his own maker. “Not unless you’re the sheriff I’ve come to find.” He smiled. But Zeke had no clue as to who this vampire was. So he figured he’d might as well have some conversation while he waited. “I suppose I’m not the only one being kept waiting.” He joked. Zeke admitted to himself this older vampire had a draw to him but he wasn’t about to go around pursuing anything tonight. He’d already had his fun, and the scent of the other guy was still on him. No matter how much he’d scrubbed himself down earlier.
Zeke stood completely still though, not wanting to make the wrong move. Akasha had warned him, disrespecting an older vampire could be the end of him. And he wasn’t about ready to die again just yet. And the only thing that moved was his head, which continued to look around the room to take notice of everything there was to see in the home of this particular sheriff.
Godric nodded by the boys response not surprised at all. After all this was Maci's house, of course people would come here too see her. He opened his mouth to speak, "I am indeed not the sheriff of this area, but I am her maker." He replied, also clarifying why he was here. Godric held the ghost of a grin when the younger vampire made a comment about waiting. "Come, we can sit in the living, whilst we're waiting on Maci." He said, before turning around and walking into living room.
There was a fireplace on the north wall, there were a few logs in it. To Godric's knowledge, Maci never lit it. But he could understand why, after all vampires and fire don't mix well at all. That's the reason he never lit the fireplaces in his own house. He walked over to the black leather chair, and sat back in it. In the room there was another chair like the one he was sitting in, and a black leather couch to match. Godric noticed the boy seemed a tad nervous around him. He shook his head, probably because he was such a young vampire, and Godric was so much older. "I am Godric, I'm the sheriff of area 9." He introduced himself.
